Join us for the first annual St. Clement Empanada 5k!

The race begins at the church. The course then runs through the Fleetwood section of Rockaway Township and finishes back at the church for hot fresh Empanadas! Refreshments pre and post race will be available for participants. Water stations at each mile marker are also available. Warm ups will be conducted by a Professional Cross Fit Athlete. Strollers and dogs on a leash welcome!

Race shirts guaranteed for first 100 registrations.

PACKET PICKUP

In honor of the Feast of St. Francis we invite you to bring your pets to Packet Pick Up at the church Friday night October 7, 2022 between 6:00 pm and 7:30. Blessing of the animals will be at 7:00pm.

Same Day Registration/Packet Pickup from 7:45am - 9am. ONLINE ONLY

*Parking for the event will be at Birchwood School 1 Art Street, Dover NJ. A shuttle will be running to bring all participants to the event. The shuttle is dog friendly. We and Rockaway Township Police ask that participants do not walk to event as Mt. Pleasant is a busy road with no sidewalks. Shuttle starts running at 7:45am. shuttle stops running at 11:45am. The shuttle will not run while runners/walkers are leaving and re-entering the parish.

TIME

5k Start- 9:30 am

  • 2 mile walkers begin following runners.
  • 1 mile kids Fun Run following the 5k.

PRICE

FOR 5K RUNNERS AND 2 MILE WALKERS

  • Kids run free with each registration (no shirts for kids dash)

ABOUT PROJECT KIND

We are partnering with Project Kind, who will be the beneficiary of proceeds from the event. Project KIND 123 creates opportunities and builds support systems for those experiencing homelessness. They assist their immediate needs of weather-appropriate clothing and food. Then, they assist a select few to move from homeless to housed with a variety of assisted programs for job placement, housing assistance, and mental health services.
