The Isaac Hennessy/EC5K Headlines Eastern Christian Homecoming Weekend and is open to all! This year, we renamed the event to honor Isaac Hennessy, a student at Eastern Christian Elementary School who was diagnosed with Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy. As a community, we want to encourage and support Isaac and his family as they face the challenges of Duchenne’s MD. To that end, this year we will share the proceeds of the 5K with the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Isaac’s honor.
Eastern Christian’s portion of the proceeds from the 5K will help fund EC’s Athletic Program budget, benefiting the participants of all 27 athletic teams that we field each year. All runners are encouraged to solicit individual sponsors for their run. Reach out to family, friends, and business associates for a
pledge based on distance, time, or simple participation. Sponsor’s donations can be made to The Foundation for ECSA.
